Mayo & The Wild Atlantic Way
County Mayo is on the west coast of Ireland, at the heart of the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way which stretches from West Cork to Donegal, 2,500 km (1,553 mile) driving route passes through nine counties and three provinces).
Mulranny (an Mhala Raithní in irish) is a small village on the shores of Clew Bay which has to be a contender for the most beautiful in Ireland. It is filled with small islands known as drumlins, and some larger inhabited islands too, including Clare Island, Inis Turk and Achill (Oileán Chliara, Inis Toirc, Acaill). We are the perfect location from which to explore the islands, and if you wish to visit them we can help you arrange this.
We are also a two minute walk to The Great Western Greenway, a spectacular cycle and pedestrian route from Westport to Achill, which runs along an old disused railway and brings you off road into the bogs and foothills of the Nephin mountain range.
